Linda R. LaTrenta, M.D.

Dr. Linda LaTrenta grew up in Honolulu, Hawaii and was valedictorian of Punahou School in 1981. She graduated in 1985 from Harvard University cum laude with a B.A. in Biochemistry and was elected Phi Beta Kappa. She earned her M.D. at Cornell University Medical College in 1989 where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.
After an internship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, MA she completed her Internal Medicine Residency at NY Presbyterian/Cornell in 1992. Although she became board certified in Internal Medicine, she decided to switch to Radiology and worked as an Emergency Room Physician at NY Presbyterian/Cornell from 1992-93. She began her Radiology residency at NY Presbyterian/Cornell in 1993 and was chosen as Chief Resident her final year.
After completing a breast-body fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) in 1998, she joined the staff at MSKCC in the breast division and practiced there until 2003. She moved to Greenwich in 2003 and joined Greenwich Hospital where she is Director of Breast Imaging. She has authored and co-authored a number of scholarly articles and a book chapter on ultrasound guided breast biopsies. She has been recognized as a Castle Connelly Regional Top Doctor every year since 2016 and New York Magazine top doctor 2020 and 2021.
