Sarah T. Stewart, MD

Dr. Sarah T. Stewart specializes in Body Imaging – US/CT/MRI, Breast Imaging, and breast interventional procedures. She works with her surgery, oncology, and pathology colleagues to provide comprehensive patient care. She prides herself on providing individualized, compassionate care to each patient. She graduated in 1990 from Indiana University with a B.A. in Psychology. Between college and medical school, she obtained a certificate from Tufts University Post Baccalaureate Pre-Medical Program. While attending school, she worked as a Study Coordinator at Brigham & Women’s Hospital and at the former New England Deaconess Hospital. She earned her medical degree at Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, NY in 1990. After an Internal Medicine internship at Greenwich Hospital, she completed her Diagnostic Radiology Residency at Yale New Haven Hospital in 2005. After completing a Breast and Body fellowship at Yale New Haven Hospital Department of Radiology in 2006, she joined the Greenwich Radiology Group and the Greenwich Hospital medical staff where she practiced until 2018. She transferred her practice to Advanced Radiology Consultants and St. Vincent’s Medical Center from 2018 – 2024 to be closer to her home in Fairfield and have more time for her teenage children. During that time, she held a clinical faculty position at the Frank Netter School of Medicine and was active in teaching both Quinnipiac medical students as well as SVMC Diagnostic Radiology Residents. As of November 2024, she has returned to Greenwich Radiology Group and Greenwich Hospital to resume her practice in Breast Imaging and General Diagnostic Radiology. She has been recognized as a Castle and Connelly Top Doctor every year since 2021 and a Connecticut Magazine and New York Magazine Top Doctor every year since 2021. She has received the Exceptional Woman in Medicine award every year since 2020.
